TASTING NOTES:
- Colour: This drink is a golden honey colour.
- Aroma: The primary scent of Licor 43 1L is that of vanilla. This is truly a sweet-smelling beverage.
- Taste: The scent of this liquid gold carries over to the tastebuds. Again, the primary flavour is of creamy vanilla. This drink is soft in the mouth. Because of its relatively low alcohol content for a distilled beverage, it should go down easily.PRODUCER: The Zamora family first began crafting the recipe for Licor 43 1L in the 1940s, in Spain. Soon after, their drink, which they named Licor 43 1L started to gain fame in Spain. However, it wasn't until about the 1960s that the drink started to be exported around the world. Today, it is one of the most well-known Spanish liqueurs sold internationally.
COUNTRY: Spain
PRODUCTION DETAILS: Licor 43 1L gets its name from the 43 ingredients that are used to make it. Of course, Licor 43 is not about to reveal their secret recipe to the world. So, while we know 43 ingredients are used, we do not know what all of the ingredients are. Once the secret ingredients are mixed, the liquid is left to age for several months. It is then filtered, chilled, and bottled. This liqueur tastes wonderful on its own, on ice, or when used in mixed drinks.
